David W. Potts graduated high school in Okmulgee, OK in 1973. He soon began his

college education at the University of Oklahoma where, in addition to gaining a 

great education, he also met his future wife: Linda Breault, a fellow OU student. By 

1977, David achieved a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Petroleum 

Land Management, while Linda earned a Bachelors of Business Administration 

degree in Marketing. After graduating, David and Linda married and began their 

family. 

Since 1978, the Potts family has called Ardmore, Oklahoma their home. They have 

recently celebrated their 37 year marriage and have two grown children, Erin and 

Trevor. Mr. and Mrs. Potts are also the proud grandparents to two grand-daughters, 

Addison and Halle. They are active in their church and their community endeavors. 

David began his career in petroleum exploration as an intern with The Kerr McGee 

Corporation. After his internship, he moved on to work with R. D. Dodd, Inc to train 

for a year as a Lease Broker. David then took on the role of District Landman with 

The Quentin Little Company, with whom he was employed for 6 years, until 1984. 

In 1984, David desired to open his own Lease Brokerage firm, so he and Linda

establishedthe firm of David W. Potts Land & Exploration Co. to serve the needs

of the people of southern Oklahoma. They have been there ever since. With over
